I have always believed in the power of listening and the value of compassionate support. With several years of experience as a qualified counsellor, I’ve had the privilege of working with people from all walks of life, helping them navigate a wide range of personal and professional challenges — including anxiety, depression, stress, grief, fertility issues, and relationship difficulties.

My approach is rooted in empathy, and I work at your pace to explore whatever is on your mind. I provide a safe, non-judgemental space where you can feel truly heard and supported.

Before becoming a counsellor, I spent over 20 years as a senior leader in a large public sector organisation. That role was driven by a desire to help people — a motivation that continues to shape my work today. When I made the decision to leave that career, it was this same passion that led me towards counselling. Once I made the move, I never looked back.

My previous career gave me a strong foundation to explore the complexities people experience, particularly within the workplace. I’ve worked extensively with individuals facing challenges in high-pressure environments, as well as survivors of domestic abuse and members of the LGBT+ community. These experiences have deepened my understanding of how external pressures and internal struggles can affect our sense of identity, direction, and self-worth.

Today, I work with people facing a wide range of issues — from breaches of trust, sadness, and confusion, to anxiety, trauma, and lingering effects of past experiences. I understand that modern life is fast-paced, demanding, and often overwhelming. We’re all navigating complex social structures, and it's easy to lose sight of the person we truly want to be.

Ultimately, I want my clients to be able to make the most of their lives — not in the way others think they should, but in the way that feels right and true for them.

I hold a Foundation Degree in Integrative Counselling from the University of Ulster, and I’ve completed additional training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), with a specific focus on depression, anxiety, and PTSD. I also hold a qualification in Single Session Therapy, allowing me to offer effective one-at-a-time support. In addition, I continue to deepen my knowledge through ongoing training in areas such as low self-esteem, imposter syndrome, and workplace wellbeing.

My personal experiences, professional background, and the people I work with continue to inspire and motivate me every day. Time and again, I’ve witnessed the positive impact that counselling can have, and I feel privileged to walk alongside clients as they discover their own resilience and clarity.
